The core terms governing the relationship between SettleMe and every User.
Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Platform, the User agrees to these Terms and Conditions. If the User does not agree, they must discontinue use immediately.
Amendments
The Platform may amend these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
Nature of the Service
The Platform provides cloud-based invoice generation, storage, management and related business documentation.
No Payment Processing
The Platform does not currently process payments or facilitate settlement between parties. Buyers pay Merchants directly by EFT using the banking details and reference shown on each invoice.
No Accounting, Tax or Legal Advice
The Platform does not provide accounting, taxation, bookkeeping or legal advice.
No Collection or Escrow Services
The Platform does not guarantee payment of invoices, act as an escrow service, or act as a debt collection agency.
Eligibility
Users warrant that they are at least 18 years of age, possess the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements, and are authorised to represent any registered business for which they create an account.
Electronic Communications
Users consent to receiving notices, disclosures and other communications from the Platform electronically, in accordance with the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
Beta & Experimental Features
The product is currently in beta. Features may change, and features under a future paid plan are available without charge until billing launches. Beta or experimental functionality is provided without warranty and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
Service Availability
Maintenance, upgrades and outages may occur without prior notice. The Platform does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Force Majeure
The Platform shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
